ROLLA, MO. – Senior
Pat Ries scored twice to help the University of Missouri-St. Louis men's soccer team to a 2-2 double overtime tie at Missouri S&T Sunday afternoon in Great Lakes Valley Conference play.
Ries notched goals 10 and 11 on the year and moves into a tie for 10
th place on the program's single season charts for goals scored. He continues to lead the GLVC in both goals scored and points (25).

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Missouri S&T got on the board less than three minutes into the contest, but Ries found the equalizer 14 minutes later, taking the feed from junior
Collin Wynn into the breakaway.
- Ries then put UMSL ahead, 2-1, in the 81
st minute, cutting to the middle of the field on junior
Nick Harper's long lead pass.
- The Miners took advantage of a penalty kick with 48 seconds to play to force overtime following a foul by the Tritons in the box.
STATISTICALLY SPEAKING
- UMSL took 14 shots, placing seven on goal, while S&T recorded 13 shots, including five on target.
- Ries took four shots, including three on goal, while senior
Pim Boonstra had two shots on goal.
- The game featured a combined 40 fouls and eight yellow cards.
