Rose Crabtree scored two goals, while senior
Sydney Bloch notched her first of the year as the University of Missouri-St. Louis women's soccer team knocked off crosstown foe Maryville, 3-1, on Friday night in Great Lakes Valley Conference play.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Tritons took an early 1-0 lead seven minutes and nine seconds into the contest when freshman
Reham Youssef crossed the ball perfectly into the box and Crabtree headed it home for her second goal of the season.
- After Maryville, which entered the game in third place in the league standings, notched the equalizer in the 13th minute, Bloch gave UMSL the lead back with a 24-yard boot in the 28
th minute. The chip back came back to Bloch from freshman
Emily Hanewinkel with Bloch then one-timing the pass into the far left corner.
- Crabtree sealed the game with 21 seconds left, slotting the ball home from 10 yards out.
STATISTICALLY SPEAKING
- UMSL put four of its 13 shots on goal with Crabtree and Bloch each taking three shots.
- Maryville recorded 13 shots, including three on goal.

Amber Hayes played all 90 minutes in goal, recording two saves.
