ST. LOUIS, MO. – Sophomore
Selena Nolte recorded 18 kills Friday night to lead the University of Missouri-St. Louis volleyball team to a 25-25, 25-16, 25-13 sweep of visiting Missouri S&T in Great Lakes Valley Conference action.
It was the fourth straight win for the Tritons, who improve to 15-6, including 5-5 in the GLVC. Missouri S&T dips to 8-15 and 1-9 in the league.
UMSL hit at a .288 clip, led by Nolte's .469. Redshirt sophomore
Maddy Russell added 12 kills and 15 digs for her sixth double-double, including her third straight and fourth in the last five games.

Payton Kennelly directed the offense with 20 and 17 assists, respectively.
Defensively, senior
Danielle Waedekin recorded 16 digs moving her career total to 994 – needing just six to reach the 1,000-dig mark.
Junior
Alex Miner recorded six blocks, helping UMSL to a 9-3 advantage in that category as the Miners were limited to .116 hitting.
UMSL returns to the court tomorrow, hosting Truman State at 3 p.m. The Tritons defeated the Bulldogs, 3-2, earlier this season in non-conference play.
