ST. LOUIS, MO. – Visiting Drury forced overtime with a banked-in three-pointer with 1.9 seconds to play in regulation and carried that momentum into the extra period en route to garnering an 81-79 victory over the University of Missouri-St. Louis men's basketball team Saturday afternoon in Great Lakes Valley Conference play.
The Tritons, who led by eight with 45 seconds to play, fall to 10-17 overall, including 4-13 in the GLVC, while Drury improves its ledger to 17-8 and 10-7 in the league.

Hunter Reine were recognized for their contributions to the program.
Numbers of Note
-The Panthers won their eighth straight in the series with seven of those coming by five or fewer points and three in overtime.

Elijah Watson scored 17 points and dished out five assists.

Steven Davis added 16 points, netting four three-pointers to give him 80 on the year, which is the third most in the program's single season history.

D.J. White added 14 points, while Reine finished with 10 points and 14 rebounds. It was his fourth straight double-double and his 10
th of the year. He also tallied double digit rebounds for the 12
th time this year.
-UMSL shot 38.9 percent and held a 44-30 rebounding advantage, including an 18-8 edge on the offensive end, while Drury shot 45.6 percent.
-The Tritons outscored the Panthers, 18-4, in second chance points, while Drury outscored UMSL, 21-12, in points off turnovers as the Tritons committed 20 miscues.
-UMSL is 0-3 in overtime games this season.
How it Happened
Drury scored the game's first nine points and took an early 18-9 lead with 11:46 to play. UMSL then reeled off nine unanswered to tie it up at 18 before the Panthers led 29-27 at the break.
A 19-4 run over a span of six minutes midway through the second half turned a 42-34 deficit into a 53-46 UMSL advantage, giving the Tritons their first lead of the game. Davis scored eight points during that stretch.
UMSL took its largest lead at 67-58 with 1:36 to play on a pair of Watson free throws, but after a Reine layup with 45 seconds to go made it 69-61 UMSL, Drury closed regulation with a 14-6 run, netting three three-pointers.
The Tritons were just 1-of-5 from the field in the extra time with its field goal coming by White for the 79-78 lead with 1:01 to play. However, another go-ahead three-pointer by the Panthers 10 seconds later accounted for the final score as UMSL missed two shots in the final 24 seconds.
