ST. LOUIS, MO. – The University of Missouri-St. Louis women's basketball team gave No. 9 ranked Drury all it had, but in the end the visiting Panthers were able to secure a 64-53 win, snapping the Tritons' five-game win streak.
UMSL slips to 14-11 overall, including 10-8 in the GLVC, while Drury moves its ledger to 24-3 and 16-1 in the league.

Jordan Fletcher recorded 16 points, seven rebounds and four blocks.
-Senior
Sydney Bloch chipped in 11 points, four steals and three assists, while sophomore
Laura Szorenyi also scored 11 points.
-UMSL shot an even 49 percent from the floor, while Drury connected at a 38.9 percent clip and held a 36-26 rebounding advantage, including a 20-11 edge on the offensive end, which allowed the Panthers to outscore the Tritons, 20-10, in second chance points.
-UMSL committed 25 turnovers, while forcing 20 on the other end, recording 10 steals. Junior
Sammie Sproul also had four steals and dished out four assists.
-The Tritons were 5-of-8 at the free throw line, while Drury was 17-of-21.
How it Happened
UMSL owned a 13-12 lead after the first quarter, limiting the Panthers to 29.4 percent shooting in the first 10 minutes.
The Tritons began the second quarter with an 8-4 run, taking their largest lead of the game at 22-16 as junior
Sammie Sproul laid in the offensive put back with 6:15 to play, forcing a Drury timeout. The Panthers responded with five straight points and finished the quarter by outscoring UMSL, 14-6, to take a 30-28 lead into halftime.
Drury owned a pair of early four-point leads in the third quarter before a jumper by senior
Robneisha Lee gave UMSL a 38-36 lead with 4:40 to go. However, the Panthers responded with three straight buckets, while the Tritons committed three straight turnovers, to take a 42-38 lead it would not relinquish, including a 47-42 advantage heading into the final 10 minute period.
