EVANSVILLE, IND. – Southern Indiana rallied past the visiting University of Missouri-St. Louis baseball team on Wednesday with a walk off in the bottom of the ninth to post a 6-5 win.
They Screaming Eagles tied the game in the seventh with a two-out RBI double and then led off the ninth with a triple, which would eventually score.
UMSL slips to 6-9 with the loss, while USI improves to 7-9.
The Tritons also had a rally of their own in the contest, battling back from a 4-0 deficit.

The Tritons then knotted the score at 4-4 in the fourth on a back-to-back two-out RBI singles from Ulrey and senior
Tanner Hudson before sophomore
Tom DeCero gave UMSL a 5-4 lead in the fifth with an RBI double.
The Tritons outhit the Screaming Eagles, 13-8, with Hudson and Vinz recording three hits each. Ulrey finished with two hits and two RBIs.
Freshman
Brendan Watts suffered the loss in relief, despite allowing two runs in six and two-thirds of an inning. He scattered five hits and struck out four.
UMSL returns to action this weekend with a four-game GLVC-opening series against crosstown foe Maryville.
