QUINCY, ILL. – Quincy posted wins of 11-8 and 12-2 on Sunday over the University of Missouri-St. Louis baseball team in the conclusion of the four-game GLVC series.
The Tritons slip to 10-18 overall, including 4-8 in the GLVC, while Quincy improves to 20-11 and 9-3 in the league.
Game 1: Quincy 11, UMSL 8
How It Happened
- Quincy took an 11-0 lead after three innings before UMSL broke through with six runs in the fifth. Senior
Tanner Hudson drove in the first run with an RBI single, while junior
Cole McDonald's RBI groundout made it 11-2. Then with two outs, senior
Nick Ulrey and junior
Jarrett O'Brien each drove in two runs.
- Two more runs crossed the plate in the seventh courtesy of RBI singles from junior
Tom DeCero and senior
Jake Beckwith.
Statistically Speaking
- Quincy tallied 13 hits to UMSL's 12, while the Tritons were also tagged for four errors leading to four unearned runs.

Game 2: Quincy 12, UMSL 2
How it Happened
- The Hawks jumped out to a 4-0 lead after one inning and held a 7-1 advantage after two innings and finished with three home runs.
- Beckwith was responsible for both UMSL runs, using a sac fly in the second inning and an RBI groundout in the fourth.
