QUINCY, ILL. – Senior
Sara Kern recorded five hits, including two home runs, to help the University of Missouri-St. Louis softball team to a sweep at Quincy on Sunday afternoon. The Tritons won by scores of 8-3 and 12-2. As a team, the Tritons recorded 22 hits in the two victories.
UMSL improves to 28-12 overall, including 10-6 in the GLVC, while Quincy dips to 12-20 and 6-12 in the league.

Sara Kern each had a three-run homer. Olson's came in the first inning for a 3-0 score, while Kern's came in the final frame for the final score.
-After Quincy had tied the game at 3-3 in the second inning, Olson gave UMSL a 4-3 lead it would not relinquish on a sac fly. Senior
Alex Stupek also drove in a run with a sac fly to make it 5-3 in the fifth.

Game Highlights
- A two-run homer from Kern in the second inning tied the game at 2-2.
- Senior
Ryan Logan added a grand slam in the fifth to help extend the lead to 7-2.
- The Tritons added three runs on four hits in the seventh, including RBIs to sophomore
Reagan Osborn and Hill.
Statistically Speaking
- UMSL recorded 14 hits, including three from Olson, who added two RBIs and scored a run, and three from Logan, who tallied four RBIs and scored a run.
- Kern, Hill and Osborn all finished with two hits.
- Kinger (15-6) picked up the win in the circle, tossing the complete game four-hitter. She walked two and struck out two.
