ST. LOUIS, MO. – The University of Missouri-St. Louis volleyball team hit a season-high .378 en route to a sweep of crosstown foe Maryville on Saturday afternoon in Great Lakes Valley Conference play.
UMSL also tallied 11 service aces, equaling the second most by a GLVC team this season.
The Tritons improve to 9-1 overall, the program's best start since the 1987 team began the year 10-1.

MATCH HIGHLIGHTS
- UMSL hit .552 (17-1-29) in the first set and recorded five service aces, including two from senior
Madyson Abeyta to begin the match.
- The Tritons scored the final seven points of the second set, which included a pair of aces from junior
Alivia Brinker.
STATISTICALLY SPEAKING
- Sophomore
Selena Nolte recorded 11 kills in 17 swings (.529), while junior
Alex Miner added seven kills in 11 attacks with no errors (.545) to pace the offense.
- Sophomore
Morgan Childers also had seven kills to go with 12 digs, while sophomore
Amanda Vollmer finished with seven kills and two blocks, hitting .700 with no errors in 10 attacks.
- Abeyta and freshman
Payton Kennelly dished out 19 and 17 assists, respectively.
- Abeyta and senior
Danielle Waedekin had three aces each, while Waedekin also tallied 11 digs.
- UMSL limited Maryville to .141 hitting, including .075 in the final two sets combined.
