KANSAS CITY, MO. – The University of Missouri-St. Louis volleyball team had its six-match win streak snapped Friday night with a 3-2 loss at Rockhurst in Great Lakes Valley Conference action.
The Hawks, receiving votes in the AVCA DII Top 25, rallied from a 2-1 deficit to earn the win.
Rockhurst 3, UMSL 2 (15-25, 25-18, 23-25, 26-24, 15-11)

MATCH HIGHLIGHTS
- UMSL hit a sizzling .571 in the first set behind 16 kills, while Rockhurst hit .086. The Tritons also recorded three aces.
- The Hawks overcame five serving errors in the second frame, by hitting .306, while UMSL recorded just eight kills, hitting .032.
- The Tritons rallied from an 18-11 deficit in the third set, using a 6-0 run to take a 22-21 lead. Sophomore
Amanda Vollmer had three blocks during that run.
- A 5-0 run by Rockhurst in the fifth set turned a 5-5 score into a 10-5 advantage for the home team. A kill from junior
Alex Miner pulled the Tritons within 10-8 before three more straight from the Hawks.
STATISTICALLY SPEAKING
- Sophomore
Selena Nolte tallied a season-best 16 kills, while redshirt sophomore
Maddy Russell finished with 11 kills. Sophomore
Kylie Rudsinski also reached double figures with 11 kills and had four blocks.
- UMSL hit .184, while Rockhurst hit .211. The Tritons held a 9-6 blocking advantage.

Madyson Abeyta dished out 25 assists to go with eight digs and three service aces.

Danielle Waedekin finished with 19 digs.
