Lewis Steals Win Over Women's Soccer on Late Goal

ST. LOUIS, MO. – Visiting Lewis scored with 1:13 remaining to steal a 2-1 victory from the University of Missouri-St. Louis women's soccer team Friday night in Great Lakes Valley Conference action.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Flyers took a 1-0 lead on their first shot of the game, getting on the board in the 18th minute on a through ball that found the close corner.
- Junior Lexi Norton scored the equalizer in the 64th minute on a shot from the top of the 18 that beat the keeper high to the right. It was her team-leading third goal of the game, while freshman Allysiah Belt assisted on the play.
- Lewis didn't get another shot until under there was under 14 minutes to play and notched the game-winner as Jamie Hansen picked up the loose ball and broke through the defense.
 
STATISTICALLY SPEAKING
- UMSL held a 12-4 advantage in shots, but had just one shot on goal, while Lewis finished with four shots, placing two on target. The Tritons also owned a 4-3 edge in corner kicks.
- Sophomore Sarah Lyon took a team-high six shots.
