HOLLY HILLS, N.C. – The University of Missouri-St. Louis women's soccer team posted a scoreless draw in double overtime to Anderson (S.C.) on Sunday, moving to 1-0-1 on the season.
The Tritons recorded nine shots, placing seven on goal, while Anderson placed seven of its eight shots on target.
Junior
McKenzie DeRouen and senior
Maggie Harma combined for the shutout. DeRouen played the first 45 minutes in goal, making three saves, while Harma played the final 65 minutes, recording four saves.
Juniors
Lauren Lottmann and
Lexi Norton both had two shots on goal.
The Tritons had four shots each in the first and second half and one shot in the first overtime, while Anderson took a combined three shots in the two overtimes.
UMSL was flagged for offsides five times.
