ST. LOUIS, MO. – Maryville's Casey Teson scored the game-winner with 6.8 seconds to play, giving the visiting Saints a 70-69 win at the University of Missouri-St. Louis Thursday night in Great Lakes Valley Conference play.

How it Happened
Watson netted a jumper in the paint with 43 seconds to play that gave UMSL a 69-67 lead, while Teson made the first of two free throws on the ensuing possession. Watson was then fouled, but missed the front end of the one-and-one.
After trailing by 13 in the first half and by eight at the break, Maryville opened the second half with 13-4 start to take its first lead of the game at 46-45 with 12:22 to play.

Johnathan Matthews gave UMSL a 61-56 lead with 6:38 to play. The Tritons also held a five-point advantage at the 5:57 mark, but the Saints followed with seven straight for a 65-63 lead.
The Tritons jumped out to a 17-6 lead six minutes into the contest with five of their first six field goals coming from beyond the arc. A deep three-pointer from Matthews with 8:09 to go as the shot clock expired gave UMSL its largest lead of the game at 28-15. - Matthews scored a season-best 21 points, while Grubbs and fellow freshman
Anthony Hughes added 10 points each. Hughes scored UMSL's first eight points of the game.
- The Tritons shot an even 40 percent after connecting at a 50 percent clip in the first half, while Maryville shot 41.7 percent.
- The Saints finished 26-of-32 at the free-throw line, while UMSL was 15-of-21 as a combined 45 fouls were called, including 26 in the first half.
