QUINCY, ILL. – The University of Missouri-St. Louis men's basketball team was hampered by 33.9 percent shooting on Saturday afternoon in a 74-61 loss at Quincy in Great Lakes Valley Conference play.
The Tritons were especially troubled from beyond the three-point line, where they were 5-of-22.
Meanwhile Quincy shot better than 50 percent from the first time this season in GLVC play, connecting at a 53.2 percent clip.

How it Happened
Quincy held a 34-25 lead at the break. After a steal and a layup by junior
Johnathan Matthews gave the Tritons an 18-16 advantage, the Hawks followed with an 18-2 run to surge in front 34-20.
The Hawks then used a 10-5 start to the second half to extend the lead to 44-28 with 16:21 to go.
A late 9-0 run by Quincy gave the home team its largest lead of the game at 65-45 with 3:50 to play, while UMSL followed with an 8-1 run to get within a 15-6 run to get within 70-59 with a minute remaining.
