INDIANAPOLIS, IND. – The University of Missouri-St. Louis volleyball team capped play at the Midwest Region Crossover Tournament with wins over Ohio Valley (3-1) and Cedarville (3-0) on Saturday to finish tourney play with a 3-0 record.
UMSL 3, Ohio Valley 1 (25-18, 21-25, 25-19, 25-13)

Freshman
Karlyn Hannewald tallied a match and career-high 13 kills for the Tritons, which hit .252. Junior
Selena Nolte (10) and senior
Alex Miner (11) also reached double figure kills.
Sophomore
Payton Kennelly dished out 24 assists to direct the offense, while the defense limited the Fighting Scots to .128 hitting. Freshman
Olivia Klank posted six blocks, while freshman
Megan Woll registered 26 digs.
UMSL 3, Cedarville 0 (27-25, 25-18, 27-25)

Nolte tallied a match-high 19 kills with eight of those coming in the first set. The Tritons overcame two Cedarville set points (24-23 and 25-24), scoring the final three points to garner the opening frame win.
Miner recorded four of her five blocks in the second set to help limit the Yellow Jackets to -.029 hitting.
UMSL overcame a 13-9 third set deficit and with Cedarville leading 24-21, reeled off four straight for match point at 25-24 before securing the 27-25 win. Nolte added seven kills in that frame.
Woll posted her first collegiate double-double with 16 digs and 11 assists.
The Tritons hit .189 and held a 9-7 blocking advantage, while Cedarville hit .110.
Tournament Notes
- Nolte averaged 4.02 kills per set, while hitting .405.
- Woll averaged 5.70 digs per set.
- UMSL hit .256, while limiting its opponents to a .108 clip.
