ST. LOUIS, MO. – The University of Missouri-St. Louis volleyball team won its fourth straight match on Saturday with a 25-19, 25-16, 25-21 win over Maryville in Great Lakes Valley Conference play.
Records: UMSL (11-13, 4-9 GLVC), Maryville (6-19, 0-13 GLVC)
How it Happened:
- SET 1: UMSL rallied from an 18-15 deficit in the first set. Junior Selena Nolte had five kills in 10 swings in that frame.
- SET 2: The Tritons hit .303 as a team, while limiting the Saints to .000 hitting with junior Kylie Rudsinski registering three blocks and junior Amanda Vollmer tallying two.
- SET 3: Nolte finished with six kills in nine swings, helping UMSL hit .268. The frame saw 15 ties and eight lead changes before a Nolte kills and a pair of Saints attack errors gave the Tritons set point.
Statistically Speaking
- Nolte recorded 15 kill, hitting .500, with just two errors in 26 attacks.
- UMSL hit .252 as a team with sophomore Payton Kennelly dishing out 21 assists.
- The Tritons owned a 5-1 blocking advantage. Rudsinski (four) and Vollmer (three) led the team in that category.
- Maryville hit .137.
- Freshman Megan Woll had 13 digs.
