Early Goals Lift UIS Past Men's Soccer

SPRINGFIELD, ILL. - The University of Missouri-St. Louis men's soccer team lost a 2-0 decision at Illinois Springfield Friday night in Great Lakes Valley Conference play.
 
RECORDS: UMSL (5-9, 4-7 GLVC), Illinois Springfield (8-4-3, 7-2-2 GLVC)
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
  • The Prairie Stars scored three minutes into the game and added an insurance goal nine minutes later.
 
STATISTICALLY SPEAKING
  • UMSL finished with 11 shots, including two on goal – one each from seniors Mark Skrivan and Dom Barczewski.
  • UIS tallied 18 shots, including six on goal.
 
UP NEXT: UMSL will host Quincy on Sunday in its home finale. Prior to the contest, the Tritons will honor their 10 graduating seniors.
