INDIANAPOLIS, IND. – The University of Missouri-St. Louis volleyball team had five players in double figure kills as the Tritons rallied for a 26-28, 26-24, 25-23, 25-22 Great Lakes Valley Conference victory at Indianapolis on Tuesday night.
The win was the fifth straight for UMSL.

How it Happened:
- SET 1: UMSL rallied back from 19-13 and 23-20 deficits, tying the frame at 23-all on a block from junior Amanda Vollmer and freshman Charlotte Richards. The Tritons then fended off three set points before UIndy snagged the first set. UMSL out-hit the Greyhounds, .227-.188, but the host recorded three service aces.
- SET 2: Senior Maddy Russell had three early kills to help the Tritons to a 9-3 lead. Back-to-back kills from senior Alex Miner made it 18-13, while a kill from junior Selena Nolte gave UMSL set point at 24-19. UIndy then followed with five straight to even the score at 24-24, but kills from Nolte and junior Kylie Rudsinski ended it.
- SET 3: A 6-1 UMSL run gave the Tritons a 24-19 lead, but the Greyhounds followed with four unanswered to pull within 24-23.
- SET 4: The Tritons fought off another UIndy rally, as the Greyhounds fended off three match points before a kill from Nolte gave UMSL the victory.
Statistically Speaking
- Nolte finished with a match-high 20 kills, moving her career total to 980.
- Russell posted her second double-double of the season with 11 kills and 20 digs.
- Richards and Rudsinski also tallied 11 kills, while Miner finished with 10.
- Sophomore Payton Kennelly (28) and freshman Cara Ferchen (24) combined for 52 assists, helping UMSL to a .200 hitting percentage.
- The Tritons tallied 66 kills, while UIndy had 55 kills and hit .166.
- Freshman Megan Woll recorded 26 digs, while Vollmer had a team-best four blocks.
