ST. LOUIS, MO. – Junior
Selena Nolte became just the eighth player in program history to record her 1,000
th career kill on Saturday as the University of Missouri-St. Louis volleyball team saw visiting William Jewell rally back from a two-set deficit en route to a 3-2 Great Lakes Valley Conference win.
Nolte finished with 13 kills and now sits with 1,009, which ranks eighth all-time in program history. She is the first player to eclipse 1,000 kills since 2011 when then seniors
Weslie Gaff and
Erin Higgins accomplished the feat.
The Tritons won the first two sets, 25-12 and 25-17, but William Jewell finished with set wins of 25-23, 25-23, 16-14 to spoil UMSL's Senior Day. Prior to the match

How it Happened:
- UMSL hit a combined .351 in the first two sets, but hit just .136 in the final three frames. The Tritons also held an 8-0 blocking advantage after two frames, but were outblocked 8-5 over the final three.
- UMSL rallied from a 13-9 deficit in the fifth set, scoring five straight to take match point at 14-13 on a kill from freshman Charlotte Richards, but the Cardinals ended the match with three straight, including one on ace and one on a block.
- William Jewell finished with six aces, five of which came in sets three through five.
Statistically Speaking
- UMSL finished the match with a .205 attack percentage and ended with a 13-8 blocking advantage, while the Cardinals hit just .097.
- Junior Kylie Rudsinski recorded 15 kills and six blocks, while Russell added 13 kills and 13 digs.
- Richards had a season-best 12 kills.
- Freshman Megan Woll notched her third 30-plus dig outing, tallying 32.
- Freshman Cara Ferchen dished out 29 assists and added 12 digs, while sophomore Payton Kennelly added 27 assists and nine digs.
- Brinker tallied 16 digs.
