ST. CHARLES, MO. – The University of Missouri-St. Louis softball team rallied for two wins over Truman State on Friday in Great Lakes Valley Conference play, winning 7-2 and 5-4.
The Tritons scored seven unanswered runs between the fifth and sixth innings in the opener and used a three-run fourth inning in the nightcap to take a lead they would not relinquish.
Senior
Jennah Perryman drove in five runs on two doubles, while junior
Serena Olson had a team-high three hits.

Game 1: UMSL 7, Truman State 2
Two-out, two-run doubles from Olson and junior
Chelsea Martinez following a Bulldogs error in the fifth inning helped UMSL to the win. Olson's hit knotted the game at 2-2, while Martinez's gave the Tritons a 4-2 lead.
Perryman drove in three insurance runs in the sixth with a bases clearing double.
Truman scored single runs in the first and second innings for an early 2-0 advantage.
Junior
Carly Kingery tossed the complete game three-hitter, striking out seven.
Olson and Kingery had two hits each for the Tritons, which recorded eight. Kingery and Osborn scored two runs each.
Game 2: UMSL 5, Truman State 4
Perryman delivered the eventual game-winning two-out, two-run double in the fourth, which capped a three-run, three-hit frame. Junior
Reagan Osborn tied the game with an RBI single before Perryman's double.
After Truman took a 1-0 lead in the top of the third, UMSL responded with two runs in the bottom half, scoring one on Olson's RBI double and one on a Martinez RBI groundout.
The Bulldogs then got the lead back with two runs in the top of the fourth.
Sophomore
Andee Tiffee won her 10
th game in the circle, going four innings in the start, while freshman
Sapphire Munoz earned the save in three innings of relief work.
Truman out-hit UMSL, 8-6. Osborn and freshman
Carlie Kudary scored two runs each.
