ST. LOUIS, MO. – The University of Missouri-St. Louis baseball team lost an 8-2 decision to Maryville on Sunday as the two teams tried to conclude a four-game GLVC series. However, game two was suspended in the bottom of the second inning with the contest scoreless. Play will resume Monday at 2 p.m.

Cooper Vinz broke up the Saints' no-hit bid in the bottom of the fifth with a leadoff infield single, while both Triton runs came in the seventh inning. Freshman
Josh Shoemaker led off with a single and scored on sophomore
Jarrett O'Brien's RBI triple. O'Brien then came home on a sac fly off the bat of freshman
A.J. Davis.
O'Brien recorded two of UMSL's five hits, while Maryville tallied 10 hits.
The Saints led 3-0 after two innings before plating four runs in the fifth and one in the seventh.
UMSL slips to 15-19, including 7-9 in the GLVC, while Maryville improves to 18-19 and 10-5 in the league.
