ST. LOUIS, MO. – The University of Missouri-St. Louis baseball team lost a 12-2 decision to Maryville on Monday in a game that was concluded after being suspended in the bottom of the second on Sunday. It was the fourth and final game of a GLVC weekend series against the Saints, in which Maryville took three of four games.
Records: UMSL (15-20, 7-9 GLVC), Maryville (19-19, 11-5 GLVC)
The Saints were aided by two two-run homers from Brennan Williams and finished the day with three long balls, out-hitting the Tritons, 13-7.
UMSL left 10 runners on base, including three in the fifth in which they loaded them up with no outs and trailing 4-2, but followed with three strikeouts.
The Tritons finished with seven hits, including three by redshirt sophomore
Derrick Freeman.
UMSL's runs came in the third and fourth innings. In the third, the Tritons got a run back after the first of two Williams' two-run home runs, on an RBI by senior
Jake Morsch. The Saints were charged with an error, but redshirt junior
Brian Seymour came scampering home after reaching with a triple.

AJ Davis knotted the game in the fourth with an RBI single, but from there, Maryville score two in the fifth and four in each the seventh and eighth innings.
