KANSAS CITY, MO. – Junior
Lizzy Miller had five hits in eight at-bats to help the University of Missouri-St. Louis softball team to 9-0 and 6-0 wins at Rockhurst on Saturday in Great Lakes Valley Conference play.
The Tritons out-hit the Hawks, 20-7, while running their win streak to eight games, including the last four without allowing a run.

Game 1: UMSL 9, Rockhurst 0 (5 inn.)
UMSL jumped out to a quick 3-0 lead in the first inning. Junior
Reagan Osborn led off the game with a double and later scored on junior
Chelsea Martinez's RBI single, while junior
Lizzy Miller and sophomore
Andee Tiffee also picked up RBIs.
A wild pitch and another Martinez RBI single in the second extended the lead to 5-0, while in the third, an error by the Hawks accounted for a 6-0 advantage.
In the fourth, junior
Carly Kingery delivered a two-run single, while freshman
Carlie Kudary followed with an RBI single for the final score.
Kingery allowed just five hits in the five-inning shutout, striking out five and walking one.
UMSL tallied 11 hits, including three from Martinez, who added two RBI, and two from Olson, who also drew two walks and drove in two runs. Miller also recorded two hits.
Game 2: UMSL 6, Rockhurst
Sophomore
Andee Tiffee equaled a career-high with 14 strikeouts in the complete game, two-hit shutout, without issuing a walk.
UMSL scored in the second, third and fourth innings for a 4-0 lead. A sac fly from freshman
Sapphire Munoz in the second scored Miller, who led off with a single, while two runs came home in the third, including one on a Martinez groundout and then another Miller single.
Senior
Jennah Perryman drove in the final three runs, using a two-run double in the fourth and a one-run double in the sixth. Perryman finished 2-for-4 with her three RBI, while Miller was 3-for-4 at the plate.
UMSL recorded nine hits and drew five walks, three of which went to Kingery.
