FINDLAY, OHIO – The University of Missouri-St. Louis volleyball team closed out the Findlay Tournament on Saturday with a 3-1 win over Ohio Valley, bouncing back from a 3-0 setback to Hillsdale to start the day.
 
UMSL is now 4-4 on the season.

Match Notables

• Hillsdale (4-3) hit .394 en route to the win, tallying 48 kills, while UMSL had 33 kills, hitting a season-low .184.
• SET 1: UMSL rallied from an 18-11 deficit, using a 10-2 run to get within 21-20, but the final four points went to Hillsdale.
• SET 2: A 9-0 run by the Chargers ended the frame.

 
Statistically Speaking

• Freshman Charlotte Richards had a season-high 12 kills and added nine digs.
• Senior Alivia Brinker and freshman Megan Woll had 12 digs each.

• The Tritons recorded 12 service aces and put together a .200 hitting percentage despite being out-blocked, 16-4.
• SET 1: UMSL ended the set with an 8-1 run, getting three kills from Richards and an ace from Brinker, who served the frame out.
• SET 2: The Tritons opened an 16-8 lead only to see OVU tie it at 18-18.
• SET 3: UJMSL fended off two set points before Ohio Valley (2-4) got a kill and a Tritons attack error to force a fourth set.

 
Statistically Speaking

• Sophomore Payton Kennelly recorded 48 assists and six service aces.
• Junior Selena Nolte led the offense with 13 kills.
