KIRKSVILLE, MO. – The University of Missouri-St. Louis women's basketball team's upset bid at No. 25 ranked Truman State fell short Thursday night as the Tritons suffered a 66-61 loss in Great Lakes Valley Conference action.

How it Happened
Truman State led 18-12 at the end of the first quarter and outscored the Tritons, 17-9, in the second quarter to take a 35-22 lead into halftime.
After being held scoreless in the first half, senior
Arielle Jackson tallied nine points in the third quarter, helping UMSL outscore Truman State, 18-10, to pull within 45-39 heading into the final 10 minutes. Defensively, the Tritons limited the Bulldogs to just 2-of-17 from the field in that frame.
Truman stretched the lead to 11 three times in the fourth quarter, including 62-51 with 2:21 to play while UMSL whittled it down to 65-61 with six seconds to play on a three-pointer from redshirt junior
Laura Szorenyi.
