TIFFIN, OHIO – The University of Missouri-St. Louis men's basketball team suffered its first loss of the season on Sunday in a 76-58 setback to Walsh in its final game of the GLVC/GMAC Challenge, hosted by Tiffin.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Tritons were limited to 34.9 percent shooting, including just 29.7 percent in the first half, which helped Walsh take a 40-28 lead at the break.
The Cavaliers extended their advantage to 19 points six minutes into the second half before UMSL made five three-pointers during a 17-8 run, capped by a long ball from redshirt junior
Kenny Berry to make it 62-54 with 8:28 to go, but the Tritons would get no closer.
The Cavaliers connected at a 54.6 percent clip and made 14-of-26 (53.8 percent) three-pointers, while owning a 41-26 rebounding advantage. UMSL finished 11-of-28 from beyond the arc.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Redshirt senior Jason Towery scored 14 points, while junior Jose Grubbs added 12 points. The duo was a combined 6-of-12 from three-point range with each making three.
- Junior Yaakema Rose Jr. finished with 11 points, six rebounds and four assists.
