ST. LOUIS, MO. – Four players scored in double figures on Saturday as the University of Missouri-St. Louis women's basketball team earned a 79-61 victory over Lincoln to close out the UMSL Thanksgiving Classic.
The Tritons shot 45.8 percent from the field and made a season-high nine three-pointers. Junior
Danielle Berry went 5-of-6 from long range and finished with 19 points to go with five rebounds, four assists and three steals.

HOW IT HAPPENED
UMSL led 21-13 at the end of the first quarter before building a 40-28 lead at the break. The Tritons were aided by 6-of-13 shooting from three-point range in the opening frame. UMSL then held a 65-49 advantage after three quarters. The Tritons took their largest lead of 22 points with 1:52 to play.
Lincoln shot 39.1 percent, but was 3-of-11 from beyond the arc. UMSL held a 39-37 rebounding advantage and had a season-low nine turnovers.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Redshirt senior Laura Szorenyi added 16 points, making all six free throws attempts, while also recording five assists.
- Freshman Breanna Diestelkamp reached double figures off the bench for the second straight game, finishing with 12.
- Junior Alex LaPorta chipped in 11 points and added nine rebounds and six assists.
- UMSL had 21 assists on 27 field goals.
- Sophomore Kiara Stewart blocked three shots.
