ST. LOUIS, MO. – The University of Missouri-St. Louis Department of Athletics has announced the Class of 2020 inductees to the UMSL Sports Hall of Fame.
The five former student-athletes and one team includes:
Joe Atkisson (men's golf),
Shweta Galande (women's golf),
Ruth Harker (women's soccer),
Donnie Jolliff (baseball),
Hannah Perryman (softball) and the
2015 softball team.
This year's induction ceremony and banquet will be held on Friday, February 21, 2020 at the St. Louis Union Station Grand Hall. The inductees will also be introduced at halftime of the UMSL men's basketball game on Saturday, February 22, 2020 against Rockhurst.
JOE ATKISSON – Men's Golf (2010-14)
A three-time All-GLVC and All-Region selection, Atkisson graduated as the career leader in scoring average at 75.27, which now ranks ninth. He also graduated as the career leader in rounds of par or better (27) and rounds played (128) and recorded 17 top-10 finishes. As a junior in 2013, he became the program's first GLVC Championship medalist. During his career, he led team UMSL teams to NCAA Regional Tournament appearances (2011, 2013, 2014) with two of those advancing to the NCAA Championships (2011, 2013) with the 2013 team tying for seventh place nationally. Atkisson was also an individual qualifier to the NCAA Regional Tournament in 2012 and in 2013 set a then 54-hole school record at the NCAA Midwest/Central Regional with a 210.
SHWETA GALANDE – Women's Golf (2009-13)
A three-time NCAA Championships qualifier, Galande graduated as the program's all-time career leader in scoring average at 77.9, which now ranks fourth. She was also a four-time All-GLVC selection, the 2009-10 GLVC Freshman of the Year and was the program's first GLVC Championship medalist in 2011. Galande helped the program to four NCAA Regional Tournaments and graduated with three of the top four lowest individual stroke averages in a season, including first as a senior in which she owned an average of 77.5. Galande also set then school records for 36-hole scoring as a junior (143), 54-hole scoring as a freshman (230) and 72-hole scoring as a sophomore (310). She won four individual titles during her career and placed no lower than 37th in any of the three NCAA Championships she participated, including a tie for 27
th as a sophomore.
RUTH HARKER – Women's Soccer (1982-85)
A four-time All-Region selection as goalkeeper, Harker remains the program's career leader in shutouts with 38. She also ranks third all-time in career goals-against average (0.75) and fourth in career saves (255). During the 1982 season, Harker recorded 12 shutouts, which still ranks as a single season record. She also owns the second most in a single season with 11 in 1985. Harker was a member of the 1982 women's soccer team, which were inducted into the UMSL Sports Hall of Fame in 2014.
DONNIE JOLLIFF – Baseball (1991-94)
A two-time all-MIAA and all-Region selection, Jolliff was an offensive prowess who left his mark on the record books. He graduated as the career leader in total bases with 323, a record he still holds today. Jolliff also graduated second all-time in six other categories, including doubles (41), triples (15), hits (210), RBIs (127) and runs scored (153) and remains in the top three for all of those today. He helped the 1992 and 1993 teams to the NCAA Central Regional, with the later advancing to the World Series. During his UMSL career, the baseball program had an overall record of 118-65.
HANNAH PERRYMAN – Softball (2013-16)
Perryman established herself not only as the best UMSL student-athlete to ever wear the red and gold, but as one of the NCAA DII's all-time elite pitchers. The first student-athlete in any UMSL team sport to be named an All-American all four years, Perryman graduated as the NCAA DII record holder for career perfect games (nine), strikeouts (1,725) and strikeouts per seven innings (12.1). She also walked off the field third in NCAA DII career no-hitters (15), sixth in victories (128) and seventh in shutouts (61). Perryman, a three-time GLVC Pitcher of the Year, was the first NCAA DII player to be selected in the National Pro Fastpitch draft (37th pick to the Akron Racers). As a junior, she was a top-three finalist for the inaugural Schutt Sports/NFCA DII National Player of the Year after a season in which she set an NCAA DII record with seven perfect games. Perryman was a top-10 finalist for the Schutt Sports/NFCA DII Player of the Year as a senior behind an NCAA DII single-season record 567 strikeouts.
2015 SOFTBALL TEAM

Brian Levin, the 2015 softball team accomplished quite a bit during their historic season, including receiving a No. 1 national ranking in the final regular-season poll. The Tritons captured their third straight GLVC Tournament championship an advanced to the NCAA Midwest Super Regional, finishing with a program second-best 48 wins. They set a school record with a 19-game win streak and posted their third straight 40-win season. While then junior Hannah Perryman set NCAA DII records for perfect games in a season (7), the offense was also major force, delivering a school record 106 home runs, which ranked third all-time in NCAA DII single season history. The team also set school records for runs scored (334) and RBI (312). 10 players were named to the All-GLVC team, while Perryman was named the GLVC Pitcher of the Year and Levin the GLVC Coach of the Year. Jennah Perryman also took home GLVC Freshman of the Year.
