CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO. – Three players scored in double figures for the University of Missouri-St. Louis women's basketball team on Tuesday despite a 70-56 loss at NCAA DI Southeast Missouri State in the Tritons' lone exhibition game of the season.
The Tritons now turn their attention to the regular season which opens Friday at home at 1 p.m. against No. 3 Grand Valley State.

HOW IT HAPPENED
UMSL raced out to a 12-3 lead four minutes in, connecting on 5-of-7 field goals, while limiting the Redhawks to just one of their first nine. However, SEMO finished the quarter on a 21-1 run, which included 16 unanswered to hold a 27-16 lead after the opening 10 minutes.
The Redhawks led 44-30 at the break and 59-38 after three quarters. UMSL outscored SEMO, 18-11, in the final quarter, which included a 10-0 run.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- UMSL shot 28.8 percent from the field, while SEMO, which was playing in its season opener, connected at a 41.8 percent clip and held a 54-31 rebounding advantage.
- The Tritons went to the free-throw line 33 times, converting 21, while SEMO made just 13 trips, making eight.
