SAN JUAN, PUERTO RICO –The University of Missouri-St. Louis women's basketball limited Puerto Rico-Bayamon to 25.5 percent shooting on Friday night en route to a 60-32 victory as the Tritons opened up a two-game trip to the island.
UMSL improves to 4-5 with the win.
HOW IT HAPPENED
UMSL led 17-12 at the end of the first quarter before stretching it to 30-16 at the half and 39-24 after three quarters.
The Tritons shot 37 percent from the field and held a 43-30 rebounding advantage. UMSL also outscored UPR-Bayamon, 22-10, in points off turnovers as their opponents committed 22 miscues.
