ST. LOUIS, MO. – The University of Missouri-St. Louis men's basketball team ran its winning streak to seven games on Saturday with a 92-48 victory over Missouri Baptist.
UMSL shot a season-high 56.1 percent, including a season-best 56 percent (14-of-25) from three-point range and was led by senior
Jalen Wilkins-McCoy who scored 17 points on 8-of-11 shooting.
The win was also the 100
th UMSL victory for seventh-year head coach
Bob Sundvold. He is just the third coach in program history to achieve 100 wins, joining Hall of Famers Chuck Smith (171 wins, 1966-79) and Rich Meckfessel (214 wins, 1982-99).

HOW IT HAPPENED
UMSL took a 49-24 lead into halftime, outscoring the Spartans, 30-9, over the final 9:29. The Tritons made three of their first four field goals to jump out to a quick 8-0 lead. After making it a 19-8 advantage, Missouri Baptist scored seven straight to pull within 19-15 before UMSL's run.
The Tritons owned a 47-23 rebounding advantage, including an 11-3 edge on the offensive end and limited the Spartans to 33.3 percent shooting.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Redshirt senior Jason Towery added 13 points and grabbed eight rebounds.
- Junior Yaakema Rose Jr. chipped in 12 points to go with six boards, two assists and two steals.
- UMSL recorded a season-high 22 assists on 37 field goals with redshirt sophomore Steve Webb dishing out six and redshirt freshman Isaiah Fuller also handing out six.
