ARKADELPHIA, ARK. – Junior
Andee Tiffee delivered a game-winning two-run home run in a 2-1 win over Ouachita Baptist and then struck out 17 in a 3-2 win over preseason No. 2 ranked Southern Arkansas on Saturday to help lead the University of Missouri-St. Louis softball team on Saturday at the Alvy Early Memorial Classic.
The Tritons finish the tournament with a 3-1 record, while improving to 3-7 on the season.
UMSL 2, Ouachita Baptist 1

Senior
Carly Kingery (2-4) tossed the complete game two-hitter, striking out nine, walking three and allowing just one unearned run.
Ouachita Baptist (1-8) broke the scoreless game in the third inning despite not getting a hit as the Tigers took advantage of three walks and a passed ball.
UMSL 3, Southern Arkansas 2
Freshman
Anna VanGundy drove in the game-winner with a two-out RBI single in the top of the sixth, breaking a 2-2 tie.
A two-run homer from senior
Chelsea Martinez in the first inning gave UMSL a 2-0 lead before Southern Arkansas (6-3) used solo shots in the fourth and fifth innings to tie it up.
Those two home runs would be the only hits surrendered by Tiffee, who tossed the complete game victory behind a career-high 17 strikeouts.
UMSL tallied nine hits with Tiffee and freshman
Corinne Daley recording two each.
