ST. CHARLES, MO. – The University of Missouri-St. Louis softball team was plagued by six errors on Sunday, leading to 10 unearned runs as the Tritons lost both games of a doubleheader to Pittsburg State, 6-2 and 8-0.

Game 1: Pitt State 6, UMSL 2
The Gorillas rallied for the win with four runs on two outs in the top of the seventh, erasing a 2-1 deficit.
Senior
Carly Kingery struck out 12 and gave up just one earned run despite suffering the loss.
Pitt State finished with 10 hits with four of those coming in the seventh frame.
UMSL had seven hits, including two each by junior
Andee Tiffee and freshman
Anna VanGundy.
Redshirt junior
Morgan Hill scored the Tritons' first run in third, reaching on a Pitt State error before scoring on another Gorillas error, while VanGundy drove in the 2-1 go-ahead run in the fourth with an RBI single.
UMSL left 10 runners on base, including the bases loaded twice.
Game 2: Pitt State 8, UMSL 0 (6 inn.)
UMSL was out-hit, 9-3, and had four errors, which aided in Pitt State's first five runs being unearned.
Hill had two of the Tritons' three hits.
Tiffee was charged with the loss despite not giving up an earned run in four innings of work. She scattered three hits and struck out six.
