Men's Basketball Knocked Off by Visiting Drury

ST. LOUIS, MO. – The University of Missouri-St. Louis men's basketball team lost a 73-62 decision to visiting Drury on Thursday night in Great Lakes Valley Conference action.

Records: UMSL (18-8, 9-7 GLVC), Drury (16-10, 10-5 GLVC)

How it Happened
Drury owned a 33-26 halftime lead after a half that saw both teams shot better than 52 percent. The Panthers had the largest lead of the first stanza, using an 8-2 run to post a 29-19 advantage with just under five minutes to play.

Drury opened the second half with seven unanswered to post a 14-point advantage at 40-26. The Tritons scored the next six to put the deficit back to single digits and later pulled within six twice, including 47-41 with 12:05 to play on a layup by Grubbs. However, a three-point play and a three-point bucket pushed the Drury lead back to 12 and UMSL would get no closer.
