ST. LOUIS, MO. – The University of Missouri-St. Louis men's basketball team ended the home portion of its schedule with a 68-56 win over Missouri S&T on Saturday afternoon.
Junior
Ronnie Carson scored a career-high 23 points, going 15-of-19 at the free-throw line, while seniors
Eric Dust and
Johnathan Matthews also scored in double figures. Dust finished with 19 points, shooting 6-of-8 from the field and 7-of-10 at the charity stripe, and also added six rebounds, while Matthews added 10 points.
UMSL, which snapped a four-game losing streak, posted a 13-4 record at home this season.

How it Happened
Both teams went into halftime tied at 34-34 after the Tritons ended the opening stanza with five unanswered. Missouri S&T led by eight twice in the first 11 minutes.
A 7-0 run by UMSL early in the second half put the home team ahead 41-36 with 14:26 to play on a lay in by junior
Jalen Wilkins-McCoy, while UMSL ended the game by outscoring the Miners, 16-4, over the final 4:55.
