CRAWFORDSVILLE, IND. – Junior
Patryk Golinski of the University of Missouri-St. Louis men's swimming team broke his own school in the 1,000-yard freestyle on Wednesday on night one of the 2019 GLVC Championships.
Golinski finished sixth in a time of 9:21.43, bettering his previous school mark set two years ago by nearly four seconds. His time was also an NCAA DII B-cut.
Additionally, the men's 200-yard individual medley relay of
Radoslaw Chupka,
Austin Stevenson,
Gabo Jimenez and
Aiden Clark also finished sixth, while setting a school record in a time of 1:30.66.
Competition of the four-day meet continues tomorrow with prelims at 10 a.m. (EST), followed by finals at 6 p.m. (EST).
