CRAWFORDSVILLE, IND. – The University of Missouri-St. Louis men's swimming team posted a program-best fifth-place finish at the GLVC Championships as competition at the four-day even concluded on Saturday night.
The Tritons totaled 261.5 points, just a half-point shy of their previous high of 262 in 2017.
The women placed seventh, recording 220 points, seven shy of the program high set last year.
Three school records were broken on the final day of the championships, while another was tied. Junior
Amber Visser finished fifth in the 200-yard breaststroke, breaking her own school mark and reaching an NCAA DII B-cut, while she also helped the 400-yard freestyle relay to a new mark by more than four seconds.
On the men's side, senior
Radoslaw Chupka topped his mark in the 200-yard backstroke set his freshman year, also earning an NCAA DII B-cut. The 400 freestyle relay tied the school record, while junior
Patryk Golinski and freshman
Sergio Santisteban had B-cut marks in the 1650 freestyle.
