SPRINGFIELD, MO., February 9, 2019 – The University of Missouri-St. Louis women's basketball team suffered a 77-44 loss at No. 1 ranked and undefeated Drury Saturday afternoon in Great Lakes Valley Conference action.
The Panthers' defense stymied the Tritons all day, forcing them into 40 turnovers.
Records: UMSL (11-11, 5-8 GLVC), Drury (23-0, 13-0 GLVC)
How it Happened
The Panthers opened up with a 24-10 lead after the first quarter, led 36-14 at the half and 57-19 after three quarters.
UMSL outscored Drury, 25-20, in the fourth quarter, shooting 55.6 percent from the field in that frame.

- Sophomore Alex LaPorta scored 14 points and added six rebounds and two steals.
- Redshirt junior Laura Szorenyi finished with 12 points, three rebounds and two steals.
- UMSL held a 36-33 rebounding advantage and shot 38.3 percent.
