SPRINGFIELD, ILL. – The University of Missouri-St. Louis softball team ran its win streak to a season-best seven games with a 3-0 victory at Illinois Springfield on Monday in the first of two GLVC games. The host Prairie Stars took the nightcap, 9-1.

Andee Tiffee gave herself a 1-0 lead into the first inning with an RBI double and then tossed the complete-game three-hit shutout from the circle.
The Tritons added a pair of insurance runs in the seventh on freshman pinch hitter
Hayli Richards' two-out, two-run single.
UMSL finished with four hits, while Tiffee (9-3) struck out four and walked two.
Game 2: Illinois Springfield 9, UMSL 1 (5 inn.)
Tiffee again gave the Tritons the 1-0 lead with an RBI single in first inning, but it would be the only run UMSL would score.
The Prairie Stars out-hit the Tritons, 10-3, and used a five-run second inning, which included a grand slam, to break open the game.
Senior
Carly Kingery (9-9) suffered the loss, surrendering six runs on seven hits.
