ST. LOUIS, MO. – With an 11-1 win in the finale on Saturday, the University of Missouri-St. Louis baseball team earned the series victory over visiting Rockhurst. The Hawks took today's opener, 16-0.

Game 1: Rockhurst 16, UMSL 0 (7 inn.)
Hawks ace Jack Eisenbarger threw the complete game one-hit shutout, striking out eight and walking none.
Redshirt senior
Brian Seymour led off with an infield base hit, but it was the only runner allowed as Eisenbarger retired 21 straight to end the game.
Rockhurst tallied 18 hits, including three home runs and four doubles.
Game 2: UMSL 11, Rockhurst 1 (8 inn.)
After being limited to one hit in the opener, the Triton bats came alive in game two, busting out for 15 hits.
Redshirt junior
Derrick Freeman finished 3-for-4 at the plate, including two doubles, with three RBI and two runs scored, while senior
Tom DeCero and junior
Andrew Hayden also had three hits and two RBIs each. Two of Hayden's hits were also doubles.
Of their 15 hits, eight were for extra base, including a solo home run by junior
Jarrett O'Brien that gave UMSL a 2-1 lead they wouldn't relinquish in the second inning.
The Tritons scored five runs on five hits, tallying four of their doubles in that frame, to break open the game and take a 9-1 lead.
Junior
Bobby Shallenberger went all eight innings in the complete game victory. He allowed the one run on six hits, while striking out five and walked three.
Sophomore
John Hilpert added two hits and two RBI and recorded his second triple of the season.
