KIRKSVILLE, MO. – The University of Missouri-St. Louis softball team lost a pair of one-run games at Truman State on Saturday in Great Lakes Valley Conference play, falling 2-1 and 3-2.
Senior
Lizzy Miller brought in all three of the Tritons' runs on the day. UMSL was limited to a combined nine hits – all singles.

Game 1: Truman State 2, UMSL 1
UMSL recorded four hits and drew five walks, including one to Miller in the first inning with the bases loaded for the early 1-0 advantage. However, it was the only run for the Tritons, who stranded 10 runners on base.
Junior
Andee Tiffee (10-4) suffered the loss, allowing five hits and the two runs, including just one earned. The Bulldogs scored both of their runs in the fourth inning. Tiffee also walked three and struck out six.
Game 2: Truman State 3, UMSL 2
Miller delivered a pinch hit, two-out, two-run singles in the seventh inning to tie the game at 2-2 before Truman State walked off with the win in the bottom half of the frame.
The Bulldogs held an 8-6 advantage in hits. Redshirt junior
Morgan Hill had one of those hits and also reached on a walk.
Senior
Carly Kingery (10-10) was tagged with the loss. She struck out six and walked three. Two of the three runs she allowed were earned.
