ST. CHARLES, MO. – The University of Missouri-St. Louis women's soccer team opened Great Lakes Valley Conference play on Sunday with a 1-0 win at one of the league's newest league members Lindenwood.

Sarah Lyon scored the game's only goal just six minutes and three seconds into the contest with the assist going to junior
Emily Hanewinkel.
The Lions out-shot the Tritons, 14-5, including 5-2 in shots on goal, and held an 11-1 advantage in corner kicks.
