JACKSON, TENN. – Seniors
Selena Nolte and
Kylie Rudsinski combined for 56 kills on Saturday to lead the University of Missouri-St. Louis volleyball team to wins over West Virginia State and Quincy on the final day of the Union University Classic.
Nolte totaled 36 kills, moving into second place all-time in career kills with 1,208. She needs 195 to surpass leader Carla Addoh (1987-90) who tallied 1,402.
Rudsinski added 20 kills and tallied the 1,000
th of her career in the win over Quincy. She is the ninth player in program history to achieve the feat.
The duo were also named to the All-Tournament Team.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- UMSL hit .339 and recorded seven aces, including five from senior
Morgan Childers.
- The Tritons used a 7-1 run to end the first set, erasing a 21-18 deficit. Rudsinski had three kills and a block during that stretch, finishing with six kills in nine swings with no errors in that frame.
- Another 7-1 run ended the second frame with Nolte accounting for three kills during that run.
- UMSL rallied from a 21-18 deficit in the final set.
STATISTICALLY SPEAKING
- Nolte racked up 17 kills, hitting .625 with just one error in 25 swings, while Rudsinski totaled 12 kills and added three blocks. The duo accounted for 29 of UMSL's 43 total kills.

Kaileen Herman dished out 37 assists, while sophomore
Megan Woll collected 15 digs.

- The Tritons hit a season-high .417 and held a 6-2 blocking advantage.
STATISTICALLY SPEAKING
- Nolte pounded 19 kills, hitting .586, recording just two errors in 29 swings.
- Herman dished out 33 assists, while Woll had a team-best 10 digs.
