Faye Meissner scored a career-high 16 points, but the University of Missouri-St. Louis women's basketball team fell at Bellarmine on Thursday night in Great Lakes Valley Conference action, 70-52.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Bellarmine outscored the Tritons, 24-12, in the second quarter to pull away from a 13-13 tie at the end of the first period and own a 37-25 halftime lead.
Eight straight points by UMSL, including four from Meissner, got the Tritons within 40-35 early in the third quarter. However, the Knights followed with a 10-2 spurt to push the lead back to double figures.

- Redshirt senior Laura Szorenyi added 11 points for the Tritons, which shot 36.2 percent from the field.
- Junior Alex LaPorta pulled down eight rebounds and recorded two assists and two steals, while junior Danielle Berry dished out five assists.
- Bellarmine shot 48.1 percent and held a 35-30 rebounding advantage.
