KANSAS CITY – Five players scored in double figures to help the University of Missouri-St. Louis men's basketball team to an 82-77 road win at Rockhurst on Saturday afternoon.
Senior
Shane Wissink scored a season-best 19 points and knocked in a three-pointer with 54 seconds on the clock with the Tritons leading by two.
Redshirt junior
Marquis Collins came off the bench to add 15 points on a perfect shooting night, netting all five field goals, including all three from long distance.

HOW IT HAPPENED
UMSL took a 47-33 lead into the half. The Tritons were aided by a 15-3 run, capped by eight straight that turned an 18-15 lead into a 33-18 advantage with just over seven minutes to play. The Tritons, whose largest lead was 20 points, were 6-of-6 from the field during that stretch and shot 57.1 percent from the field in the opening 20 minutes.
Rockhurst began the second half with 9-2 start to pull within 49-42, but UMSL responded with nine unanswered, capped with a three-pointer by Collins, for the 58-42 advantage.
The Hawks got within 77-75 with 1:29 on the clock before Wissink's three-pointer, while Collins knocked in two free throws with 24 seconds remaining.

- Redshirt junior Steve Webb added 13 points, seven rebounds, six assists and two steals.
- Senior Yaakema Rose Jr. followed with 12 points, a team-high eight boards, and four assists.
- Redshirt sophomore Isaiah Fuller chipped in a career-high 10 points off the bench.
- UMSL finished the game shooting 54.8 percent, while Rockhurst shot 43.8 percent and held a 35-32 rebounding advantage.
- The Tritons dished out 19 assists for the third straight outing.
