ST. LOUIS – The No. 25 ranked University of Missouri-St. Louis men's basketball team closed out 2020 with an 84-72 loss to Lindenwood on Friday night in Great Lakes Valley Conference action.
The visiting Lions shot 52.8 percent from the field and got a game-high 28 points from the league's leading scorer T.J. Crockett.
UMSL was 43.8 percent from the field and struggled from three-point range, netting just 4-of-20 attempts.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Lindenwood owned a 47-33 lead at the break, shooting 56 percent in the opening 20 minutes. The Lions were 6-of-13 from three-point range and made 13-of-17 at the free-throw line, while UMSL went to the charity stripe just five times and was 1-of-8 from three-point range.
The Lions took their largest lead of the game at 60-39 with just over 15 minutes to play. UMSL whittled it down to 12 with 5:07 remaining, but would get no closer.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Junior Marty Jackson scored a team-best 18 points and added five rebounds, while blocking two shots.
- Redshirt junior Steve Webb added 12 points, six rebounds and two steals.
- Senior Shane Wissink followed with 11 points and six assists, while senior Yaakema Rose Jr. chipped in 10 points, four boards and three assists.
- UMSL held a 35-29 rebounding advantage, including a 17-9 edge on the offensive end, but trailed the Lions in second chance points, 9-8.
