Kiara Stewart and senior
Alex LaPorta both recorded a double-double on Thursday night to help the University of Missouri-St. Louis women's basketball team to a 76-68 win over Quincy in Great Lakes Valley Conference action.
Stewart scored 14 points and pulled down a career-high 16 rebounds, while LaPorta led all scorers with 24 points and grabbed 10 boards.

HOW IT HAPPENED
UMSL held leads of 17-12 at the end of the first quarter and 34-29 at the half before using a 9-2 start to the second half to build a 43-31 advantage at the 7:35 mark.
A 13-3 run to end the third quarter, ignited by 11 straight, allowed UMSL to take a 60-43 lead into the final frame.
The Tritons took their largest lead at 66-47 early in the fourth quarter, but the Hawks responded with a 13-2 run to pull within 68-60 with 3:30 to play, but Quincy would get no closer.

- Senior Danielle Berry also reached double figures with 16 points.
- UMSL shot 48.2 percent, while Quincy shot 45.6 percent.
