ST. LOUIS, MO. – The University of Missouri-St. Louis women's basketball team had five players in double figures on Saturday as the Tritons recorded a 96-83 Great Lakes Valley Conference win over Rockhurst.
The Tritons shot over 50 percent from the field for the second straight game, connecting at a 55.4 percent as they won their fifth straight at home.
Sophomore
McKenzie Lathrom scored a season-high 25 points off the bench, two shy of her career-high, while redshirt senior
Laura Szorenyi (17 points, career-high 10 assists) and junior
Alex LaPorta (15 points, 11 rebounds) each had a double-double.

HOW IT HAPPENED
UMSL owned leads of 22-13 at the end of the first quarter and 37-33 at halftime before a 16-0 run in the third quarter extended the advantage to 55-39. Rockhurst got within 90-82 with just under a minute to go after seven straight Hawks points in a span of 1:39. However, UMSL reeled off the next six.

- Sophomore Faye Meissner added 14 points, while sophomore Kiara Stewart followed with 10 points and seven rebounds.
- UMSL held a 39-22 rebounding advantage.
- Rockhurst shot 46.7 percent and went 13-of-24 from three-point range.
