QUINCY, ILL. – The University of Missouri-St. Louis baseball team lost 8-4 and 9-1 decisions at Quincy on Sunday as they closed out a three-game series.

GAME 1: Quincy 5, UMSL 4
UMSL plated all four of its runs – all on two outs - on five hits in the second inning that gave them a 4-1 lead. Sophomore
Jacob Stoker drove in two with a single, while freshman
Jared Bryant followed with an RBI single before senior
Jackson Dvorak rounded out the scoring with an RBI double.
However, Quincy scored three runs in the third to tie the game and then plated the go ahead run in the seventh before three more runs in the eighth.
The Tritons totaled 10 hits, but 11 on base, while Quincy recorded 17 hits and stranded 12 runners. Both teams were charged with three errors, while they combined for just three walks.
Junior
John Hilpert went 3-for-4 at the plate, while Stoker finished with two hits, two RBI and a stolen base. Bryant and Dvorak also had two hits each.
GAME 2: Quincy 9, UMSL 1
Despite three errors by the Hawks, the Tritons couldn't overcome 10 Quincy hits, which included four home runs.
UMSL scored its run on a home run of its own, coming off the bat of senior
Jarrett O'Brien in the sixth inning. The Tritons were limited to five hits.
