CLERMONT, FLA., March 7, 2020 – The University of Missouri-St. Louis softball team lost an 11-2 decision to Findlay on Saturday morning before being edged by Grand Valley State, 3-2, in nine innings in the afternoon at The Spring Games.
GAME 1: Findlay 11, UMSL 2 (5 inn.)
Findlay scored 11 runs on seven hits, eight of which came in the fourth inning with four on a grand slam.
UMSL tallied four hits, including two from freshman
McKenzie Lamos, who also drove in both Triton runs. Lamos doubled in the first inning to score freshman
Annie Scaramuzzi and used a single to send home sophomore
Morgan Skyles in the fifth.

GAME 2: Grand Valley State 3, UMSL 2 (9 inn.)
A two-out RBI single from senior
Morgan Hill tied the game at 2-2 and forced extra innings, but the Lakers earned the win with a two-out RBI single of their own in the ninth with the international tie breaker rule in place.
GVSU jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the first inning and made it 2-0 in the third, while sophomore
Jessica Mrzlak got UMSL on the board in the fourth inning with an RBI single.

Haley Lamberson each had two hits for the Tritons, which out-hit Grand Valley State, 9-7. The Lakers were tagged with three errors, while UMSL committed two.
